The only triangular shaped flag in the world is that of Nepal. The history of triangular shaped flag could be traced during the time of Mahabharata and Ramayana, there is no written literature but it is believed that the origin of Nepal flag comes from Hinduism.
There is no hard proof but if we compare the flag of Nepal with those flag placed on the Hindu temple, there is some resemblance. Moreover Nepal was considered to be the only Hindu kingdom up until 2008.
Every countries national flag has there own pride, it depicts the history of a country and is considered as pride, a unique figure with distinct symbols and character which represents a country to be proud of. If we look at the flags of different country it might be confusing with similar color and designs, it does not quantify the definition of a unique symbol rather it confuses. Most of the national flags are rectangular in shape and are made of three colors.
